Sam grew up in New York City and attended Manhattan Day School, Kinneret Day School and SAR High School before heading to Binghamton University. Sam attributes his love of sharing Torah in a creative way to his fourth grade teacher, Rabbi Ben Czeladnicki. As Sam puts it, “Rabbi C. got our class to laugh, then got us to listen and learn, and I’m thankful for all that he taught me.” Sam was inspired and started drawing comics about the weekly Parsha in his spare time. After completing three full cycles of drawing Torah comics, Sam plans to move to other forms of Jewish storytelling including creating comics about the Sages, short story adaptations from Jewish writers, and a Comics from Sinai Haggadah.
