Humorous Takes on all Things Jewish
About Comics from Sinai

Sam Weingard first created Comics from Sinai in sixth grade during a Judaic studies class. It was January and Sam already had completed his classwork for the entire year. Comics from Sinai started out as a few doodles to pass the time and is now distributed in three dozen synagogues and schools in the U.S. as well as in Mexico, France, and Israel. Comics from Sinai’s goal is to shine a light on the Torah, and other “things Jewish,” in an informative and entertaining way. Sam’s approach has proven to be an effective teaching tool. In fact, multiple Jewish schools use Comics from Sinai in their Torah curriculum. We hope you enjoy reading the comics as much as Sam enjoys making them!

“One of the highlights for Shabbat for the youth of the Riverdale Jewish Center, as well as for adults, has been receiving the comic series “Comics from Sinai” from Sam Weingard. In a lighthearted yet meticulous fashion, Sam works diligently each week to put a comic together that is engaging and also respectful of the sanctity of the Torah’s text."
-Dovid Zirkind, Senior Rabbi, Riverdale Jewish Center

“Maybe I can sponsor your next comic (I am only 6 but I can still use my tooth fairy money).”
